National Quality Strategy Alignment Toolkit

This Alignment Toolkit can be used by private and public organizations to align their mission and activities to the National Quality Strategy (NQS). The toolkit contains three documents:

  • Introduction to the NQS (PDF, 275 KB): This document provides an overview of the NQS aims, priorities, and levers to give stakeholders a base of understanding about the Strategy and its role in identifying and prioritizing quality improvement efforts, sharing lessons learned, and measuring the collective success of Federal, State, and public- and private-sector health care stakeholders across the country.
  • NQS Readiness Resources (PDF, 136 KB): This document contains links to quality improvement resources to guide organizations seeking to strengthen internal quality improvement efforts.
  • NQS Quality Strategy Template (PDF, 185 KB): This document will produce a quality improvement strategy that reflects your organization’s commitment to achievement of the NQS aims by focusing on the six priorities and using the nine levers.
