Numerator
Residents with moderate pain at least daily, or horrible or excruciating pain at any frequency on the target assessment.

Rate is risk adjusted using resident level covariates.

The 2002 estimates reflect care delivered in quarter 2, from April 1 to June 30, 2002. The 2003 estimates reflect care delivered in quarter 3, from July 1, 2003 to September 30, 2003.
