Blood pressure under control is defined as average systolic blood pressure less than 140 mmHg and average diastolic blood pressure less than 90 mmHg and taking antihypertension medication.
Hypertension is defined as either having elevated blood pressure (average systolic pressure of at least 140 mmHg or average diastolic pressure of at least 90 mmHg) or taking antihypertension medication.
