Access to Health Care
- Disparities in access to care are staying the same or increasing.
A bar chart shows disparities in access to care improving, staying the same, or worsening for five variables: The variables on the horizontal axis are: Black vs. White (n = 5). Asian vs. White (n = 5), American Indian or Alaska Native (AI/AN) vs. White (n = 5), Hispanic vs. Non-Hispanic White (n = 5), and Poor vs. High Income (n = 5), where n is the number of core measures. The vertical axis shows percentage of core measures improving, staying the same, or worsening.
The approximate percentage for each variable is as follows:
Black vs. White (n = 5): worsening—40% (2), same—20% (1), improving—40% (2).
Asian vs. White (n = 5): worsening—20% (1), same—40% (2), improving—40% (2).
AI/AN vs. White (n = 5): worsening—20% (1), same—20% (1), improving—60% (3).
Hispanic vs. Non-Hispanic White (n = 5): worsening—40% (2), same—40% (2), improving—20% (1).
Poor vs. High Income (n = 5): worsening—60% (3), improving—40% (2).
