1Receipt of long-term care is defined as receipt of human help for IADLs and ADLs, including reminders and standby help, due to a physical, mental, or emotional problem. IADLs include: shopping, light housework, telephoning, money management, and meal preparation. ADLs include bathing, dressing, getting around inside, transferring, toileting, and eating.
