Notes:
The goal of prevention is wellness for both individuals and a population. Public health is directed toward a population and providing information and interventions, to include screening for disease, to improve the health of the community or population as a whole. Specific recent federal legislation that will assist clinicians in providing prevention to individuals will be discussed later in this presentation.
