Preliminary Comparative Results and Analyses From the Medical Office Survey on Patient Safety Culture

Slide 16: Analysis 1: Staff Position-Results

Management and physicians were LESS positive than all other staff on 3 of the 15 measures (average difference = 10%, range: 5% -13%).

  • Information Exchange With Other Settings: Management/Physicians: 45 percent; All Others: 58 percent.
  • Patient Care Tracking/Followup: Management/Physicians: 69 percent; All Others: 81 percent.
  • Patient Safety and Quality Issues: Management/Physicians: 57 percent; All Others: 62 percent.
