The National Advisory Council (NAC) for Healthcare Research and Quality will meet on Friday, July 26, 2002. The Council provides advice to the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) on matters related to AHRQ's customers and health services researchers.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin with an update on the status of the Agency's current research, programs, and initiatives. The Council will discuss these specific topics: research efforts directed at health care costs; health information technology and quality of care; and prevention.
