AHRQ National Advisory Council To Meet April 9
The National Advisory Council for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) will meet on Friday, April 9. The council provides advice to AHRQ's director and to the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services on matters related to AHRQ. The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin with an update on the Agency's current research, programs and initiatives.
The council meeting will include a demonstration of a virtual hospital discharge tool developed by a team of researchers at Boston University Medical Center. Council members also will receive updates on AHRQ's patient safety portfolio, AHRQ's National Healthcare Quality Report and National Healthcare Disparities Report as well as a progress report on AHRQ's comparative effectiveness research.
