AHRQ National Advisory Council To Meet July 24

The National Advisory Council for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) will meet on Friday, July 24. The Council provides advice to AHRQ's Director and to the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services on matters related to AHRQ. The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin with an update on the Agency's current research, programs, and initiatives.
The Council will discuss a report from its Subcommittee on Children's Healthcare Quality Measures in Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), which meets July 22-23; a report from the Comparative Effectiveness Research Methods Symposium, held June 1-2; the 2008 National Healthcare Quality Report and the 2008 National Healthcare Disparities Report; and AHRQ's new MONAHRQ system.
