Colorectal Cancer Screening

NARRATOR: If you're over 50, getting screened for colon cancer may help save your life. Colon cancer is the nation's second leading cause of cancer deaths, but less than half of Americans over the age of 50 currently are being screened. Screening means that cancer will be detected earlier when it is treatable. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force strongly urges more people to be tested. Doctor Paul Frame, a member of the Task Force...

FRAME: Science shows that screening does save lives. There are several screening tests, and each test has advantages and disadvantages. People should decide with their clinicians which test to use. But the important part is to get tested.
