  • Despite some patient safety improvements, progress in ambulatory care settings lags behind the pace of patient safety efforts in hospitals.
  • Remaining opportunities for improvements in patient safety ambulatory care are immense.
  • AHRQ is committed to making significant future investments in this enormously important area.
