Munier Slide 2

AHRQ Collaboration to Support the Partnership for Patients (P for P)

Text version of slide presentation from a National Advisory Council meeting.

AHRQ: A Highly Collaborative Agency

Text Description is below the image.

  • AHRQ's [the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's] mission entails collaboration in developing our own research and implementation projects, and integrating and expanding on work done by others, e.g., NIH [National Institutes of Health], CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention], FDA [Food and Drug Administration], and private-sector organizations.
  • AHRQ is compact, and it potentiates its effectiveness by collaborating with agencies that can promote its findings, e.g., CMS [Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services] through payment policy.
  • The quality of output is usually higher as a result of collaboration with others.
