Designing and Testing a Report Card on Hospice Performance

What consumers want to know about quality when choosing a hospice provider

American Journal of Hospice and Palliative Care 2014, March 4; Epub ahead of print.

Based on focus group and survey data collected in 5 metropolitan areas, this study found that consumers believed that the hospice quality indicators included in the test were easy to understand. Also, participants placed top priority on measures related to pain and symptom management.
