Recovery Act Awards

This page provides information on contracts and grants awarded with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 funds for research that compares the effectiveness of different medical options.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) appropriated $1.1 billion for research that compares the effectiveness of different medical options. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) received $300 million, the National Institutes of Health received $400 million, and the Office of the Secretary (OS) of the Department of Health and Human Services received $400 million. AHRQ has agreed to manage the Office of the Secretary's $400 million.
