Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Project Description: This research was a retrospective cohort study to examine the effect of medication errors on the outcomes of patients admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia. The project had 3 main goals:
Career Goals: Dr. Portnoy earned his M.D. from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. He did his residency in pediatrics at children's memorial Hospital, Northwestern University in Chicago. He went on to do a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical epidemiology at the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Portnoy conducts research focusing on pediatric health services. Progress to Date: This grant has been completed. Highlights and Specific Accomplishments:
