Initiative Goals:
- Improve prevention and care for diabetes
- Reduce costs of avoidable complications
- Involve health care purchasers in community level initiatives
- Explore and develop ways AHRQ can assist local groups in this work
Pilot Sites:
- Baltimore/DC—MidAtlantic Business Group on Health
- Detroit—Greater Detroit Area Health Council
- Memphis—Memphis Business Group on Health
