Non-clinician Use of Review of Medication History
Use of review is graphed. Results are approximate values.
Users were asked if they reviewed patient medication history. Overall 35% no, 55% yes. For Vendor A, 20% no, 80% yes, and for Vendor C, 22% no and 78% yes. Users of two vendors reported significant use of functionality among non-clinicians.
Users were asked about frequency of use of functionality. Overall, 52% most/all of the time, 35% sometimes, and 15% never. Vendor A, 60% most/all of the time, 40% sometimes. Vendor C, 38% most/all of the time, 55% sometimes, and 9% never. If workflow is structured to permit it, non-clinicians use functionality frequently.
