Absence Due to Illness Before and After Telehealth

The chart shows the number of days absent due to illness before and after telehealth in a one-year period. Absence is measured in mean days absent per week per 100 registered child-days. There is a 63% reduction, according to a study in Pediatrics published in May 2005.

Notes:

And this leads to a tremendous reduction in absence from childcare due to illness.

As we have published, in multivariate analysis adjusting for potential confounders such as child age and season of the year, we found a 63% reduction in absence due to illness
—that was attributable to telemedicine.
